When your photo is taken for your driver's license, why do they tell you to smile? If you are stopped by the police and asked for your license, are you going to be smiling?

  • Huh, when I got my last pic, they told me NOT to smile. Now my DL pic looks like a mug shot. :(

  • Haha well at least in my state, you aren't allowed to smile for license pictures anymore! So that takes care of that! LOL

  • I had one taking the pic tell me to smile cuz it goes over better than a scowl with an officer. Basically, if you look pleasant in your license you might have an easier time dealing with the officer.
