I'm only 19 weeks, but I have painless contractions every day. Isn't that a little early?

  • not when it's your second child :)

I asked my midwife the same thing. she said you're just more likely to recognize them sooner since you know what you're looking for :)

although if you are still unsure, always call the doc. that's what they get paid for :) so don't feel like you are pestering them

  • nope I had them from 20 weeks on but if you have more than 4 in an hour or they are regular or really hurt call your doc asap

  • Braxton hicks, you're fine. You will have them the rest of your pregnancy:)

  • Yeah I had my first at about 22 weeks and then I had about 3 more during the next 4 months. I was so freaked out when I felt my first one but don't worry.

  • I wanted to name my son (he's now 5) Braxton. Until I felt those annoying things for 5 months...then forget it!
