how do with a newborn baby and a 14 month old?

  • Teach the 14 month old how to do things now. Start talking about how fun it is to be a BIg sibling. My youngest loved watching the oldest play. Make sure to have a bouncer and an exersaucer so the baby can see the big kid. Make sure you keep the older on straped in during meal time. It is hard to feed a baby and chase a spaghetti covered todler.

  • take it as a lesson learned get on BC immediately or close your legs if you dont wanted them so close togethers

  • Start teaching your older one how to be more independent and see how fast they catch on. Just make sure that you have lots of patience.

  • Join a local mothers group and find someone to trade (free) babysitting with at least once a week. You are going to need a lot of support.... find a community, church, mothers groups, ymca, MOPs (mothers of preschoolers) etc..
