  • wash them to start. Make sure the shoes are clean and well ventilated. Have him alternate between pairs so they can dry out between wearings

  • Leather or cloth shoes only - NO VINYL SHOES!!! As soon as they get home, take the shoes off and use some ArmNHammer shoe spray in them. Socks made of mainly COTTON. ALL shoes that aren't sandals must be worn with socks. GO barefoot as much as possible.

  • He wears a different pair everyday. His feet just sweat terrible. I don't allow him to wear dirty sox. He even alternates his shoes after he gets home from school.

  • Crocs never smell. Something in the way they are made. Also, never buy leather sneakers. They are the worst! Buy the mesh sneakers or crocs.

  • My husband is the stinky foot man of our house, and for him we found some bamboo socks that are fabulous. A friend of ours got some and told us about them these things are amazing. He can wear them for two or three days and they just don't smell and actually I think they work on the smell in his shoes too.
Beyond that try and deodorize the shoes a little. Febreeze maybe.

  • Try foot powder in his shoes/socks. Make sure the fabric of the shoes can breathe. Store them in well-ventilated areas. Wash often, if they can be washed.
