what can I take for decongestant while I'm 36 weeks pregnant that is safe for baby?

  • Sudafed is safe. Look on safefetus.com if you would like to look up medications.

  • Regular Sudafed is about it. Tea with honey can help, humidifiers and steam showers...

  • I was told by the nurse at my dr.'s office to stay away from sudafed.... so confusing.

  • It is recommended to stay away from Sudafed during the first trimester as that is the developmental stage of pregnant. I took Sudafed towards the end of my pregnancies due to bad nasal congestion and it worked wonders. Take only as needed and with plenty of fluids.
