What is dutch?

lol I just read that question about being dutch ovened. The other day I askedif you have to pay when inviting a guy for a date. Somebody answered: "Yes, unless you go dutch."
It seems to me the Dutch have bit of a bad reputation around the world. I live in the NL and -yes- they're definately different (if you think in stereotypes), but a lot of expressions I've never heard of. Can you tell some more?
It's just for fun so don't be afraid to offend. Tthere you go ...

  • You pay for your own, he pays for his. for me if I invited a guy on a date though, I think I would feel more comfortable to pay for the entire dinner. Just me though.
