  • I would say yes and no...dont know if you're asking if it's ok or not. Definately tell your doc asap.

  • Yes it truly depends on a lot of things. Like how far along you are, what color is the blood, how heavy or light is it... etc etc. I would certainly talk yo your OB, and see what they can look into for you, as it can range from a pretty typical occurrence, to a bigger problem such as miscarriage.

  • All the OB/GYNs I know would say "no". Its not normal to spot while pregnant. And if you spot then either something is wrong or your whole body is totally confused. But STILL tell your doctor about it.

And to be honest, I never heard it from any of my mommy-friends or other ppl i know that they were spotting. Here on cafemom it was the first time that i heard about spotting while pregnant.

  • I spotted with one of my pregnancies and my doctor was upset I waited til my next appt to tell him. He did an ultrasound right there and determined I had placenta previa. I say that any amount of spotting is something to tell the doctor about.

  • I think its more common than most realize. Please do inform your OB/GYN though.

  • It can be normal.

Err on the side of caution and tell your OBGYN immediately

It can also signify things that require immediate medical attention.
