can i jog when i am just shy of 6 weeks preg?

or should i stick to walking and are lifting weights bad also?

  • If it is something you are already doing. You can jog till you are uncomfortable or you Dr tells you not to.

  • I don't think lifting weights is ok during pregnancy. There are modified crunches and push-ups you can do throughout the whole thing. Like PP said, jogging is ok as long as you were doing it before you got pregnant. Most likely, you're going to want to be walking in a couple of months because it will be more comfortable.   • if your body is used to an exercise before you are pregnant then you are fine don't start some new crazy regimen like P90x or something but jogging and lifting moderate weight is fine.

  • I just asked my doctor this same question and he said, "Any exercise you can do while still being able to have a conversation is fine" So as long as its not too strenuous/ puts you out of breath.
