No, but when something happens, I think we look for a reason to make sense of it. I think it depends on your personality, your faith, if you see the glass as half full or half empty whether you see some force behind everything that happens. If you sprain your ankle and can't work for a few days, one person might think oh well, this is just God telling me to slow down and spend more time with the kids. Whether or not a person is religious, I think we all want to feel that there is some order in the universe, that everything isn't haphazard. We want to make the best of a situation, even in the worst of times.
