How do you get a child to settel down when having strep positive test?

My 4 yr old was tested positive for strep throat and she is as active as always! She does not even seem sick!

  • Some kids are just like that. My DS had pneumonia but I had no clue because he was very active, as always. He actually was hospitalized for three days because of low oxygen so I had a heck of a time to get him to sit still and keep his oxygen mask on!!

  • My pediatrician said to allow my kids to be as active as they want when they are sick. If they need the sleep, their body will make them sleep. Try to occupy them with calm activities (like coloring, reading a story, etc.) vs. hugely energetic ones (like going outside to run and play tag).
