Why do kids face get flushed when they are sick?

Just wondering what causes it

  • When you run a fever, your body tries to cool you off by making the blood vessels close to the skin bigger. This lets the blood lose some heat into the air, and it makes your skin look flushed. It happens to adults when we run fevers too, it's just more noticable in little ones. Just your body's way of trying to cool you off!
