1 Bump

Chewing with his mouth open.

One of my dd friends is over here eating dinner. He is chewing with his mouth open. I can hear it . I'm trying to tune it out. Do I say something to him or not?

  • Absolutely say something. When a child is eating here and they do something rude or gross at the table I will totally correct them. Nicely, of course, but still...

  • Just ask him kindly to chew with his mouth closed.

  • My son is 5 and we are constantly reminding him to chew with his mouth closed. I see no problem with asking him to please chew with his mouth closed.

  • Well I asked him nicely to please chew with his mouth closed. He said ok, but continued to chew with his mouth open. It seemed like it even got worse. Thank God he's done eating. Oh crap, he is back eating some more. I guess I will just have to rip my ears off.
