this may be a dumb question, but what exactly is meant when a ? is bumped?

  • basically you bump a question to increase its ratings. The question will remain active. If you bump a question in a group it will remain on the first page for others to see and answer.

  • bump is just saying you either like the question or you want to help the OP get more answers like serious debate questions, fun questions. The more bumps the more people see the question

  • It means you couldn't answer their question, so you bumped it to the top of the pile.
