Is my brother consider a

Veteran? I am only wondering because my kids school is doing this poster wall of Veterans for Thursday and want a picture of some things about him, but if he is not then I need to decline.. He joined the Army in 2001 and got out about 2 yrs ago. He served his whole time in South Korea.

  • Anyone who has served in the military is a vetern. It does not matter if they had seen conflict or not.

  • I figured if they had served they were a veteran... maybe not a veteran of foreign war, but a veteran..

  • Yes he is. I had to ask the same thing because I wasn't sure if it was only if he was inlisted or in a war.
