Oatmeal Season...instant or old fashion?

Which do you prefer: zippy-quick instant, or good-old on the stove old fashion?
What do you put on yours?

  • Old fashioned. Even do it in the crockpot sometimes and it was waiting in the morning. I like it with butter, golden raisins or dried cherries or dried cranberries, brown sugar, coconut and 1/2 & 1/2.

  • Actually, I like them both. I eat both too. But, the original needs honey! LOL!

  • I actual prefer old fashioned oatmeal cooked on the stove. I like to add fresh fruit to mine. Unfortunately, my kids can't stand the stuff.

  • Old fashioned. The instant stuff is like spackle.

  • Old fashioned - but cooked in the microwave. I dislike the instant stuff, because it's so high in sugar and has a number of ingredients that aren't food and are difficult to pronounce.

  • I eat it both ways. The original is good but needs a lot of doctoring. Cream, sugar, fruit, brown sugar, berries, whatever.
