What type of turkey can I make on my stovetop or maybe the bbq?

We recently remodeled our kitchen and don't have an oven yet and won't have one by gobble gobble day. What do you all suggest?

  • Smoking it seems to be the thing to do this year. I haven't done it myself, but I've tasted it before and it's really good.

  • Do it on the grill. That would be safest and easiest. My FIL does it quite a bit.

  • you could buy a deep fryer. OR order one ready to serve from Publix, Kroger... where ever is near you.

  • I've done it on the BBQ years ago, and it turned out great. When I lived near Tamps, Fl, a lot of people did it ther.

  • You can buy (or see if someone has one to borrow) an electric roaster.  When TG is at my SIL's, she'll do 2 smaller turkeys because her oven can't hold much - one in the oven, and one in the roaster.
