Son still Snoring extremely loud and bad even after having his tonsils and adnoids taken out.

Any ideas?

  • Has he had a sleep study? The problem may not be obstructive, but central sleep apnea, or it could be that he has allergies or hypotonia...lots of things, really. What has the ENT said about it?

  • i had my tonsils taken out when i was 5 i am now 29 & just found out they grew back nice you might want to talk toangry his doctor they might of grew back

  • His snoring must not have been tonsil related. Snoring can originate anywhere there's breathing. I agree with pp that a sleep study is really the only way to get to the source.

  • hmm.. I hear of so many sleep studies being done nowadays. I wonder about this with my niece as she snores incredibly loud at age ten and has for as long as I can remember..
