  • Hard to say. I developed an infection while carrying my DD; had it treated but did go into premature labor several weeks later (docs can't say why - to this day, I'm still considered a medical mystery). My DD was born at 28 1/2 weeks and was not expected to live but she is now a perfectly normal 10-year old. Girls typically do better in those situations than boys. Talk to your doctor and take care of that infection. Good luck.

  • Get your kidney taken care of, I really don't think it can cause early labor.

  • You should call your doctor and let them know what is going on so they can treat you for the infection.

  • there is a group called preemie moms, you can join and ask there. i had a 33 weeker, but i know that 27 weekers have a much more difficult time. i'd definitely talk to a doctor about it
