when did you start introducing your baby to a sippy cup?

When do you think is the right time to introduce your child to a sippy cup instead of the bottle?? I have three children and my first two got teeth very early (at three months lol) and i had no choice but to intro it early as they were biting through their bottle nipples so they had they hang of it by 11 months old at the latest. My youngest is six months and has no teeth yet so i'm not worried i was just curious to see what other mothers thoughts are about this!
