have you ever fired your lawyer in the middle of a divorce?

i'm seriously thinking about doing that.. it's legal aid so I get that he is busy but it's like I have to get him to retype and fix the paperwork more than twice before he gets it right.. it's frustrating and i feel like i'm getting screwed.

  • Yes and the opposing attorney used it to show instability. But your talking about legal aid. They are attorneys in waiting/practice. They arent quite attorneys so to fire them would show stability in your case. and it would be understandable. But the opposing attorney has to throw mud any way they can, ya know. I would suggest, if your fighting for property and children rights get a real attorney. if its cut and dried, you just want to get out of the marriage, come to an agreement, sign the papers, & get it over with. No need for expenses that the judge is going to grant anyways.
