What's your best meal you can cook?

  • I have quite a few dishes that I have perfected over the years. The kitchen is the one place I actually have some talent =) I have several recipes that are go-to's for company or a special occassion, and I'm also always trying new recipes. I'd say for every 5 I try, one is a keeper and I work on it and tweek it until its just how I like it....I'm not satisfied until its perfect. Makes DH crazy, lol.

  • lasagna. Dh asks for it frequently so much in fact that I taught him how to make it while I was working 3rd shift so he could make it for ME lol. Nowdays when he wants it I make him cut up the vegetables and stem the veggies and boil the noodles and I do the rest.

  • Osso Bucco... its my all time favorite dish, and I have practiced countless times to finally get it down. The meat just falls off the bone, the marrow melts in your mouth, and the carrots, parsnips and other veggies take on the flavor of the wine and buttery sauce. Since the shanks are expensive I don't make it too often, but its a happy day for me when I can! :)
