What should I take for food to a Thanksgiving dinner that is 5 hours away?

We are going to my husband's side of the family's thanksgiving dinner. We will get there the night before and stay at their house. Is there something I could make at home before hand and take up with? It could even be a snack for during the day to munch on. We usually don't eat the dinner till the evening. Any suggestions?

  • Get a cooler with cold packs and put in appetizers like pigs in the blanket, crackers & cheeses, Fruit cocktail in a large bowl, bagels & cream cheese etc. Then make the pigs in the blanket when you get there. Also I would bring a pie for dessert.
