  • On Easter all the kids get together and instead of doing an Easter Egg hunt we have this special rock that we hide somewhere and every year the person that finds it gets to put their name on it (there are a lot of names on it). the little kids get to pick an adult to help them out.

  • On Thanksgiving Day my husband and i exchange christmas wish lists with our adult kids. it helps us when it comes time to christmas shop, it helps us decide what to get, and everybody gets what they want. Of course we make long list, so to give the buyer choices, so then we really don't know which items on our christmas list we will receive til christmas.

  • Every year the day before Thanksgiving we go into NYC and watch them blow up the balloons for the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade. We start out visiting the Macys holiday windows, then we go to Rockefeller center and look at the Tree, check out the bloomingdale snowflake lights and sometimes go Iceskating. Then we walk through Times Square get dinner and then look at the balloons all blown up and lit up. Its a fun day.

  • On Thanksgiving, we host a large extended family dinner. On the day after, we have our own family Thanksgiving; just my husband and our kids and I.
