Would you let your child have a facebook page

I'm just curious how many mother's would let a 10 year old on facebook . My family member let her child get one. My son is only 8 months and if he was 10 I would say no that's just me.

  • None of my kids were allowed to have a facebook page until they were 14 or 15. And then they had to have me on their friends list. Not that I was looking over their shoulders or anything but this way they always knew that I could look at it whenever I wanted.

  • Probably not at 10. Aren't their age restrictions on most of those sites, anyway? I know for CM it's 16, but isn't it like 13 for others, like Facebook? If my child was old enough, then I would allow it so long as they agreed to my rules (don't post personal details, never say if you're going to be home alone, etc.).

  • No I would not allow my 11 year old daughter to have a facebook page, I even deleated mine because I was getting "bad" things from some real weirdos out there.

  • Mrs Bat she put in her age at 1992 but it's wrong so they have a limit but if you lie then you get around it . If I had to lie about my age for a site then I don't think I should be on there

  • My 12 year old is bugging me to death for one. I guess he will either give up or bug me a few more years. Too young.

  • Definately not at age 10. I even have reservations about my child getting one at age 16.
