OMG! I Can't Believe This!

A couple of months ago our electric bill was $315. Then the weather got colder so to save some money we turned off the AC, no other changes were made.

We just got our electric bill and it's only for $182. ! And it's right too!

All that from just turning off the AC....makes me wonder now....

  • Yay! Yes, the AC eats alot of power. So does running alot of fans instead of AC.

  • yep, the heater will do the same come winter. We learned with the AC to keep the setting higher and just get used to it. It saved a few bucks.

  • As far as the utility bill in the winter. I used two ceramic heaters. I put one in my living room and one in the kids play room. I keep the heat on 67. Makes a big difference.

  • Our bill went from $439 in the heat of summer to $127 this month. All it took for us was the triple digit temps to go away and stay gone.

  • AC uses a lot of power and it's bad for the environment, too.

  • Yep! Our electric bill just went down $100 and that was just a partial month of not using a/c.
