Is there a song that makes you weepy?

As a mom, there are plenty of "mom" songs to make us weepy. I love Song for Mama by Boyz II Men and Carrie Underwood's latest, Mama's Song.

  • Letters from Home, about a boy who is captured while at war and his mom still writes every night, "your good and your brave you'll be a great dad someday, so be safe and make it home".... Came out when my son was deployed the first time. Crying now! Praise God my son followed the advice and made it home!

  • The song "Daniel" by Elton John
My father's name was Daniel and I never really knew my father even though
he lived in the same town as me.
He ended up dying of Cancer (I HATE that freakin' disease with a passion!) when I was 15.
He tried to see me a few times when he knew that he had Cancer and was terminal but he never told me!
I found out that he was ACTUALLY dying from a cousin at school.

  • Angel from Sarah McLachlan gets me, too, especially when watching City of Angels (Nic Cage and Meg Ryan).

Proud to be an American made me cry in April 2003. I was in boot camp in February thru May. We had an all night evolution going (NO SLEEPING ALLOWED). When it was all over, we were awarded NAVY caps to replace RECRUIT caps. After they were handed out, this song with a video was played. I was the only girl in the division I ran with; I cried like a bitch during that song. It made me proud to be an American and I was proud of myself for making it through boot camp. I didn't think I was going to.
