If someone was in the Marine RESERVES, does that still mean they're a Veteran?

For some reason I have it in my head that they had to have fought a war, and my dad didn't, but today I thank each and every person in uniform, today or in the past, having fought a war or not.

  • They are a veteran if they were inducted into the armed services. So, yes, they are veterans.

  • They still signed up to fight for our country, so yes. You still have to go through training in the reserves.
