how do you know if you can breastfeed or not

  • as long as you don't have medical issue you should be able to breast feed, just remember its a learned process you can't just try it once and be good or not hurt. it takes a little practice but is soooo wrth it

  • Almost all women CAN breastfeed. But be prepared for it to take some practice. Get the numbers of a couple of good lactation specialists or consultants just in case. If you're having a hospital birth, the nurses are well versed at helping new moms learn how to nurse. If you're having a birth center or home birth, the midwives generally have some skill at this, too.
