What's your take on "border angels'?

Saw this story on the news last night. There are small, deserted islands off our coast that smugglers are using to "store" illegal immigrants. These illegals are then getting stranded on this island for days/weeks with no food or water. There's this group called "border angels" that go to these islands and supply these stranded illegals with food and water. So, technically they are not smuggling these people, but they are aiding criminals. Their story is they are simply trying to save lives, illegal or not. I'm not sure how I feel about it. What do you think? Are they in the right or in the wrong?

  • If they're not on US soil, the future immigrants are not criminals yet.

or trying to help them not die...if they were smuggling them back on their boats..that would be illegal...as it were, they are saving lives.

Would you prefer they starve to death?

  • Seriously? Unlike HITLER I am not forcing anybody into anything, I am preferring that they didn't come at all! Wow way to exaggerate that one!

  • I am not for letting people suffer from dehydration or malnutrition- we do not even treat people on death row accordingly. Anon- are you anon because you are ashamed of your opinion? WWJD,or any supreme being, do for these folks?

  • If those are American islands I say they need to be rounded up and carted back home.

But nobody forced them (illegals) there and nobody is holding them there. They went there on their own free will, illegally, and got stuck. I'm not saying they should die, but I don't think it's fair to compare this situation to inmates on death row, or HITLER, because these people were not forced into anything and are not being help captive.

The only thing I truly agree with is WWJD. However, Jesus never had to pay taxes.

Ask yourself what would make you so desperate as to flee your home sometimes with kids to a place where you may not know the manguage, have no food and could get shot  on the way...

If YOU were that desperate, what would YOU do?
