What do you do for your child when it has a fever?

Besides Tylenol.........

  • lol he likes mommy to sing to him and play with his hair/ rub his ears to. I know i spoil him when he is sick but i cant help it

  • Depends on how high. My son was 10 or 11 months and had Roseola so he had a fever of about 104 for 3-4 days. I switched Tylenol and Motrin every 4 hours, bathed him in a luke warm bath, and kept him well hydrated. There's really nothing else that could be done for a fever.

  • Loose clothing, lot's of fluids, luke warm bath. No tylenol until it is over 102 (under the arm) or last longer then 2 days.

  • motrin, tepid bath and make sure that shes cool and not overheating. Many think that you have to sweat out a fever but its the opp. I make sure my dds cool. LIke light pjs without socks

  • cool rag and rub him over with warmed lotion if he is achy. lol my son will bring the lotion to me just to get his legs rubbed after soccer never the less when he is sick.

  • if they are still breastfeeding, then i feed them often. if not, then i do my best to keep fluids in them. i snuggle if they want, i just keep them as comfortable as i can.
    i have 5 kids, the oldest is 7.
    none of them have ever had a fever reducer.
