  • Both are Christian denominations. Although they believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God, their practices are quite different. Pentecostals believe in speaking in tongues and Protestants do not practice it. Most Pentecostals are very strict about wordly things like dancing, drinking, smoking, etc.

  • Protestant was derogatory term coined by the Roman Catholic Church during the Reformation for all those Christians who "protested" the Catholic Church. Basically any Christian denomination that is not Catholic is considered Protestant. So Pentecostal IS Protestant.

  • Protastant is anyone that is Christian, but not Catholic. Penecostal is one of the many Protastant denominations. Yes, they believe in Jesus Christ and are very much like any other Christian church in their general teachings.

  • Pentecostals are Protestants. Being Pentecostal means that you believe that, just like in Jesus' day, the gifts of the Spirit are still being poured out on believers today. Baptists, Methodist & other denominations do not usually teach or practice the Full Gospel aspect of Christianity.

  • Protestant is anyone who is Christian but not Catholic, so yes Protestants believe in JC. I have no clue what Penecostals believe exactly but I think it is a denomination of the Christian religion.

  • Pentecostals also believe in Jesus. Google both religions and get some basic information. The best way to learn about anything, is to READ.
