Did you light a serenity candle at your wedding?

I know there are different ways of doing this; how did you do yours?

  • Yes we did. We had 2 candles lit during the ceremony and at the end we lit the unity candle with our seperate ones and then blew out them out, leaving the unity candle lit. We rec'd 2 candles as engagement gifts so we used one at our wedding and the other on our table at the reception.

  • We lit a Unity Candle. The first item of our ceremony was our parents lighting the individual candles then they took their seats. Later in the ceremony, DH and I took our individual candles and lit the Unity one. Now, we light the Unity Candle every year on our anniversary.

  • Yes- Each mom brought up a lighted candle and handed it to their respective child, then we lit our "unity" candle. I don't know if this is considered the same as a serenity candle, but the idea could work for that candle too.

  • We chose not to do a unity or serenity candle because it was an outdoor wedding and it would look bad if it went out!!

  • I used the wrong word, should have been a unity candle.
