Any tips or ideas?

My DD isnt walking yet. She will be 14mths this month and she just cruises, i cant even get her to use a push walker she preferred my nephews little lawn chair, but she pushes it too fast and almost fell so many times. So what would be best to help her walk? Should i be concerned she doesnt walk yet?

  • She's fine. Leave her alone, she'll walk when she is ready. She is cruising, she'll get there. What's the rush?

  • I don't think you should be concerned, especially if your pediatrician isn't. She is going to walk on her own time...will she walk while holding your hands? You could let go and spot her to see if she falls or stands on her own. But, anyways, I wouldn't be too worried about it!

  • My daughter started walking at 10 months and I wish she would have waited longer. Don't pressure her, she will when she is ready. You really can't make a child do something unless they are developmentally ready for it.

  • Hi - I agree with the others so far. It's fairly common for a baby that's an efficient cruiser not to walk as soon, because they don't need to. My niece didn't walk until she was 18 months old. She's 12 now and perfectly normal!

  • I wouldn't worry about it, she's just happy cruising!! As always, if you have a concern you can talk to your pediatrician about it.

  • She will walk when she is ready. Iknow as moms we get anxious for them to walk but babies like to do things on their terms. Hang in there momma. She is cruising so she is developing her milestone as she should be.
