  • I never paid attention to the meanings of the names when I chose my daughter's name and the possible boy name if she were a boy instead. I just paid attention to how much I loved the way the name sounded and how well it flowed with our last name.

  • They don't matter at all to me. I think the person given the name gives it it's real meaning.

  • The meaning of the name is huge for us! In fact it's part of the reason we are due in less than 6 weeks and still can't pick one... All the names we like have meanings we don't like... And visa versa.

Answer by SabrinaMBowen at 2:37 PM on Nov. 12, 2010

  • Never really meant much of anything to us. We were more concerned with the origin of the names than anything else.

  • That would have been nice. I didn't name either of my kids. My mother names the first name and my husband the middle name. The next child my DH name with his mother. He filled out the paperwork before I even thought about the paperwork
