What is the point of Daylight Savings time?

It's not like it gives anymore daylight. It just means the sun comes up an hour earlier and it sets an hour earlier. I don't get it. It so totally screws up my kids' schedules. My toddler was up at doesn't make for a fun day. Seriously, all mom's should protest to Congress...aren't they the ones who started this stupid thing?

  • I think it used to be helpful years ago, but now it's just an inconvenience. Not every state follows it either. That has to be confusing. I am all for doing away with it.

  • I am all for getting rid of it too. Who ever came up with this plan never had kids that is for sure. Twice a year my kids schedule gets all screwed up!

  • At one time it was vital to farmers so they could have an extra hour of daylight for their crops (when everyone used to be a farmer). It's really not necessary anymore though.
