  • Cry It Out

I think it's when you are comfortable with it. I never really jumped up immediately to get my boys when they cried, except when it was THAT cry, you know, the one where you know immediately that something was wrong. I usually waited a minute or two to see if they could comfort themselves.

  • No younger then 6 months CIO in my opinion is:. Allow them to cry for 5 min then go in and talk to them or rub their back or tummy then let them cry for 8-10. go in and reassure. The 10-15 again reassuring. Then 10-15 un til they go to sleep. Never leve them their Screaming or crying so heard they can't catch their breath. Whimpering and fussing is one thing.

  • I did this when my kids where around 6 months old. This is how I did it. If it was bed time I would put them to bed, if they were crying I would let them cry for 5 minutes then I would go back in. I never picked them up I would just rub their back and tell them it was time for bed. I never let them cry for more then 5 minutes at a time and I would always go in and reassure them that everything was okay. I did not take long before they learned to go to sleep on their own.

    Good Luck!
