which one is correct?

I went to the doctor two weeks ago. The pregnancy wheel said I was 10w 1d,but when I had my sonogram the baby measured 10w 5d. Which one would you think to be most acurate?

  • The sonogram, I would think is the most accurate. The wheel only goes by the date of you last menstrual cycle, and estimates the date from that.

  • When I had mine done the doctor had estimated I was 10 weeks but the sonogram said 12 weeks. I ended up being a week late and was induced-so I may have only been about 9 weeks along at the time! The doctor explained to me the sonogram is bases it on the size of the baby (which can be accurate up to + or - 1 lb) and some babies just grow quicker than others.
