Making my 1st roast today...not sure about this though?

Im slow cooking it in a crock pot and was wondering if I put the potatoes in at the beginning of cooking it for 6-8 hrs will they just be a pile of mush later?

  • Meat on the bottom. Veggies on the top. Put it all in at the same time and forget it until time to eat it.

  • I put mine all in the same time. Just put the roast on bottom everything else on top. Now I'm wanting one. Lol

  • I usually put Liptons onion soup mix on top of my roast and let it go for a little while. Depending on how large it is. Then add carrots and potatoes later. I cut them up so maybe an hour before I think it is going to be done.
