How do you get a child to stop puttin stuff in his mouth?

My three year old nephew has developed the habit of putting odd things in his mouth. He never used to do this. Now if he finds a coin it goes in his mouth. We have taken the steps to keep small things out of his reach but he some how manages to find them. I don't know im at a loss i've never had to deal with this with my daughter.

  • I agree with the others - just keep an eye on him & cross your fingers this is a quick stage!

  • You might want to do some research about it and/or call the pediatrician for his/her opinion.
