How soon do we need to start thawing a 21 lb turkey?

How many days in advance to Thanksgiving?

And how many days in advance do I need to cook it?

  • 4-5 days beforehand place in fridge to start thawing and then cooking you would cook it the day of. And you would have to look at chart but I would guess about 5 hours of cooking time

  • i would take it out and put it in the Refrigerator that Friday the 19 then the day before take it out and put it in cold water to make sure the inside is thawed out
    for cooking i would stared it the night before

  • Take it out of the freezer Tuesday morning and put it in the fridge. Wednesday evening,place it in a dishpan full of cold water,breast side up,and change out the water hourly until you go to bed. By Thursday morning,it will be thawed

  • Take it out of the freezer on Sunday and put it into the fridge.
