What are some good holiday gift ideas?

So, we're trying to be conservative and save money this year for Christmas. And we're trying to think of something not expensive, but thoughtful for family and close friends. We're even interested in making things as well... Any ideas?!?!? :)

  • What about cookies, or homemade bread or baked goods.

  • I love giving (and getting) homemade baked goods! Also good are crocheted potholders or dishcloths, or embroidered hand towels.

  • I like the baked goods idea! Your mom might like something like a centerpiece for her table or something to do with candles.. or there is always having something to do with your kiddo. Like a picture of those two together, whether it's from when he was born or whenever and you could get a cute little frame from the Dollar Tree and decorate it or something. You could even do that for your dad too. But I also really like the idea you told us.
