birthing tub

does using a Hydrotherapy tub at at a medical center cost extra??

  • u may wanna called ur hospital and asked them or even ask ur prenatal care doctor or the person whos suppose to deliver ur baby im sure they would know but i guess it would but not much more

  • I have not heard of a hospital even offering this. That sounds amazing i always swear my next kid will be born at home in the tub. But if i can do it in a tub at the hospital that would be amazing!

  • no it does not cost extra

    but you'll need a Midwife if you want to deliver in it 90% of Mds wont deliver in them it is beneath them to get dirty while doing their job

  • the hospital i will be delivering at offers it for relaxation.. but you have to exit the tub for birth

  • if you have an MD for the birth you'll have to exit to deliver --(AACOG) is against it saying 'it poses a risk to the provider' meaning for getting a disease from his patient

    if you have a Midwife you can stay in-- the state licensing boards for midwives say "its your job"
