Thanksgiving schedule?

Do you have a cleaning schedule for what you do before Thanksgiving or Christmas? Or any big date for that matter?
Do you cook some stuff ahead of time? How do you make it all ready and on the table at one time?

  • Don't ever stuff the bird ahead of time-that's a big safety problem, with possibly making everyone sick. You can prepare everything for the stuffing ahead of time, just don't mix it or stuff it until right before ready to bake. You can even make dressing in a separate baking dish, and bake it the day ahead, then bake turkey unstuffed and re-heat dressing. I make pies the day before, cranberry sauce and candied yams get made then also. Stored in refrigerator to be re-heat yams next day. That way there's less work the day of.
