How to season my beef roast?

I have a little beef rib roast that I'm going to make in awhile, and I'm trying to figure out what to put on it. The side dish is loaded baked potatoes, and the meal and resulting leftovers are just for DH and I.

  • cut a few slits in your roast, put a clove of garlic in each slit (3-4 should be good) then put it in a crock pot. Salt and pepper, rub a little mustard on it pour a half cup or so of itialian dressing and a little drizzle of worchestershire sauce then simmer it on low until cooked. Yum yum yum

  • I would cook it with ribs down and on a high temperature, 425, nothing on it. Is it a prime rib?

  • Just  a little salt and pepper.  Let the real flavor come through.

  • Salt & pepper is fine, garlic salt, Lawrey's seasoned salt, Italian seasoning; any of those would work. DO NOT put a rib roast in the crock pot. The crock pot is best for lesser cuts of meat. Dry roast this in an oven for best results, this is called Prime Rib for a reason.
