  • I've had both, and I can honestly say they kinda go hand in hand, if your family is that sort. My theory is that if Children and Youth (my local social service) comes to your house, do their thing and walk away saying 'I don't even know why I was sent out here' then you must be doing something right. I hatted having to show my home to a complete stranger, it felt like an invasion of privacy. I have always tried to do what is best for my child and having them called is basically someone saying they don't think you're good enough.

  • Honestly, i don't give a shit what my family thinks about me. They think a lot of things that aren't necessarily true (about lots of things). Having CPS called several times a year would be worse.

  • Having CPS called is definitely the greater of the 2 evils!

  • The 2nd is worse

  • I could care less what my family thinks of me, and I'm married, more than old enough to be a parent, and a damn good one at that, So IF they called CPS on me, I'd promptly file a counter suit for slander and having filed a baseless claim! :o)

  • I wouldn't want to deal with cps.

  • CPS definitely, they can make life pretty rough, even when things aren't really bad. Someone's opinion of me or my parenting doesn't matter, I do it my way lol.
