Sore wrist

My LO is 4 months old and has a severe case of "mommy-itis", as in he won't let me put him down. I have a Moby Wrap and wear him around a lot, but I also let him lay on the floor and play, or other things, and then I end up picking him up and holding him on my hip. My wrist has gotten really sore lately, to the point where I can barely put any pressure on it when bent. Any ideas?

  • Switch hips that you carry him on, ice, or maybe a wrist brace from the pharmacy.

  • Yes, let him down and get used to NOT being held all the time. He will be ok, lying on a blanket on the floor playing with toys or in a swing, playpen, etc. Of course, have mommy and son time and play with him. Lay or sit on the floor and play with him, sing, read books.

  • Any ideas for how to get my wrist to stop hurting?
