1 Bump

2 year old having trouble sleeping

My son is 2 1/2 and he is having trouble sleeping. At first he didn't have a nightlight and he has one. He is clearly tired. Rubbing his eyes not wanting to play having a hard time to walk with out falling down. I tried sitting with him to get him to sleep and so far nothing. As of right now the only thing that is working is having him set up in my room with the tv on playing one of his dvd's. but i really don't want him in the habit of sleeping in mommy and daddy's room. So any advice would be nice

  • If you don't want him in your room then don't even start tht it is just gonna make it a hole lot harder! You need to have a bed time ritual. Follow it every day! Good luck...

  • In your room? With the TV on? Not good.
Like Judmr said, have a wind down time (like a movie with you, not in bed), bath, story, and put him in his room. Its hard for the first few nights, but he will get used to it.
