  • :D Duct tape... :D Hilarious, Monica!!
I think they actually have mittens with a little "clip" on them that make 'em tighter... otherwise, I found these really fluffy wool onesie things with built in mittens & feet for DD when she was that age, and I just threw a coat on around it & we were fine. :) Good luck mama!

  • My mom had this elastic band that attached the mittens on at each end and was worn inside the coat so the mittens couldn't be taken off.

  • Mitten clips attach to the cuff and the mitten. I wonder if it would be best to just let her hands get cold. You could ask her from time to time are your hands cold, or put the mittens on the cold hands, and if she takes them off, then let the hands be cold again for a few minutes, until she gets the idea. Probably not reasonable in freezing weather where she might get frostbite.

  • I do not believe that you should let her fingers get cold. With babies you can't tell just how cold they are. If they get too cold when you put her mittens on her fingers could feel really hot. (Have you every got that feeling). It would give her another reason for not to want to wear them. I buy the mitten that you can tighten around the wrist, and I also put them on before I put their jacket on, so their jacket will stop them from getting to the Velcro that holds them tight.
