For anyone that has had gastric bypass...

1) How far out of surgery are you?
2) How much did you loose at your lowest point?
3) Did you keep it off or did your weight go back up?
4) Do you consider the surgery a success or failure?

I'm five years out of surgery and I've lost 120lbs.

  • 1) How far out of surgery are you? My surgery was in May, 2003
    2) How much did you loose at your lowest point? I lost 133 pounds
    3) Did you keep it off or did your weight go back up? I have kept every pound off
    4) Do you consider the surgery a success or failure? I consider it a resounding success.

    I used to weigh 258 pounds & was a size 24. I now weigh 125 & I'm a size 6.

  • Wow! I wish I had done the bypass instead of the lap band. I am still struggling to lose the last 40 pounds almost 2 years after I was banded.
