is it assumed that if you dont get a registry card or a place where a couple is registered for wedding gifts you should give them money or gift cards???

  • Right, money or gift cards are always the safe way to go. However, you could go off and get them a gift that you choose. If you do this, be kind enough to enclose a gift receipt just incase they want to bring it back, etc... It makes it easier.

  • No, you didn't get a registry card or info where they are registered because it is tacky to include that with the invitation. You can either ask them or someone close to them such as their parents.

  • Definitely not assumed...you can always bring a gift of your choosing....but money or gift cards are always a safe choice, IMO.

  • No, it doesn't mean that at all. Perhaps they just didn't register. Even if someone registers somewhere, you are always free to give whatever you want to. Of course, cash is always an appreciated gift, especially if the couple is paying for their own wedding. (which, I'm assuming you wouldn't know, anyway. lol)

  • I would go online to to Target, Macys or whatever dept store is in their town and look to see if they are registered. It is considered rude to put registration cards in the invites. If you ate close you can always just ask them.
